THE DA and AfriForum yesterday criticised the assault of pupils from a KwaZulu-Natal school allegedly by striking teachers.
"It is unacceptable for playgrounds to be turned into the battlefields," Tom Stokes, DA education spokesperson, said.
It was reported yesterday that a group of striking teachers allegedly assaulted and intimidated Scottburgh High School pupils. Pupils were studying at the country club on Wednesday when they were attacked by a group of people.
Strikers invaded Ermelo Hoërskool, destroying fences and damaging property, resulting in children being sent home.
