DJ Cleo set for Canada

FRESHLY back from his Australian tour, DJ Cleo jetted off to Canada last night to treat his fans to an extensive five-day tour starting tomorrow.

The producer-writer-DJ extraordinaire will spin his vinyls in Toronto, Canada's music powerhouse.

In a tour dubbed Es'khaleni Canada Tour, DJ Cleo, who is a triple treat, will feature legendary Nick Holder. For more than a decade Cleo has been the darling of the night life that defines the youth culture in South Africa.

This is Cleo's 15th overseas gig since he started music in 2004. The globetrotting musician has toured countries like Botswana, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Dubai, Swaziland, France, Australia, Malasyia, Kenya, US, Ireland, UK, Namibia and Lesotho. Last month he played at five venues in Australia.

"People love my music overseas. Whenever I perform overseas I'm struck by the open-mindedness of the crowd. Overseas the agenda for the crowd is to go out and dance. That's the crowd I’m looking for."

The South African hitmaker, who is going with his four exotic dancers, will perform at five different venues.

Last month he rocked the house in Australia and next month he will spin his discs in Manchester, UK.

"I'm excited about this particular tour.

"It is my first time to Canada," he said.
