Female genitalia found in man's freezer

A 58-year-old Danish national was found with female genitals wrapped in plastic bags stored in his refrigerator at his home in Bloemfontein.

According to Daily Sun, twenty-one pieces of women’s genitals were discovered in a deep freezer after the man's wife reported him to the police.

The gun shop owner had anaesthetic medication, surgical equipment, and photos confiscated by police from his house in Langenhoven Park, reported News24

He allegedly sedated his victims, who are believed to mostly come from Lesotho, first before illegally removing their clitorises.

Warrant Officer Linda Steyn said they had not ruled out the possibility that the man may have conducted voluntary female genital mutilation.

The man is no stranger to run ins with the law, sanews reported that he is wanted in Denmark for illegally dealing in firearms, while News24 added that he was fined R2,500 for illegal possession of an elephant tusk in February.

Police have appealed to women who may have fallen victim to the man to come forward as the man is set to appear for bail on September 28.

He face charges of sexual assault, intimidation and domestic violence.
