Isaacs is happy with Wits move

NEW Wits striker Erwin Isaacs opted to join The Clever Boys because he is convinced they are the team to watch in the Premier Soccer League this season.

Isaacs is expected to make his debut for Wits in an Absa Premiership match at Goble Park Stadium in Bethlehem on Saturday at 3pm.

"It feels good to have joined an ambitious team of Wits's calibre. I joined them because I have no doubt that I will win trophies with them," said Isaacs.

"Wits are going to surprise many people this season."

Other new players who will be paraded by Wits tomorrow include Aaron Mokoena, Tlou Molekwane, Tinashe Nengomasha, James Mayinga, Matthew Pattison, Bryce Moon and Thomas Sweswe. Former Bafana captain Mokoena last played for Jomo Cosmos in the PSL in 1999 before he was signed by Ajax Amsterdam.

"It's great to be back in the PSL, I can't wait to get back onto the field here at home," Mokoena said.

"Our plan is to get our league campaign off to a great start with a positive result, but I must say we expect a tough match.

Stars vice-captain Paulos Masehe said they had recovered from the 2-1 defeat by SuperSport United in the MTN8.

"We are playing at home. There is no way we will drop even a single point despite the fact that Wits have signed an array of talented players."
