After missing out on promotion on the final day of the play-offs last season, Black Leopards' skilful midfielder Siphelele Ntshangase says Lidoda Duvha are better prepared this time to move up to the top flight.

Leopards booked a spot in the play-offs for the second season running with a 2-0 victory over African Warriors at Thohoyandou Stadium on Sunday, as they finished third on the standings.

"We are looking forward to the play-offs. I do not think there is a lot that we need to change from last season," Ntshangase said yesterday.

"What we can do is that we make sure that we put in more effort. We should work harder. We are going to respect our opponents but we are not afraid of them. We are ready."

Under the tutelage of Zeca Marques this season, who came in midway through the season, Leopards have been organised, and the former Swallows coach has played a big part in improving Ntshangase's game.

Ntshangase was part of the Bafana Bafana squad in March for the friendly internationals against Swaziland and Nigeria. He probably would have been part of Shakes Mashaba's Cosafa Cup squad were it not for the play-offs. "Zeca is the best coach I have worked [with]. I am not saying the other coaches I have worked [with] are not good. It's just that Zeca has helped me a lot in my game. He encourages me to make more runs into the box."
